E-Money

E-Money allows you to move funds electronically between your accounts at other financial institutions and your Partners 1st accounts. No more waiting in line or traveling across town to transfer your money. You will also be able to set up loan payments from other financial institutions to your Partners 1st loans and vice versa. You can transfer funds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through the convenience of your computer.

Note: to transfer funds you will need the routing number of each financial institution, ours is 274973316.

Use E-Money Now!


First Time E-Money users:

  1. To use E-Money you must have access to 1st Online. To secure a 1st Online password, click here.
    If you already have a 1st Online password you do not need to request another password.
  2. Log on to 1st Online and choose the E-Money button on top left. This will connect you to the E-Money site.
  3. On the E-Money site you will be required to enter your Partners 1st account number. The first time you log on you can omit a password because you will be asked to create one later. After the first log in, you will be required to enter both your account number and password.
  4. Complete a transfer request application. You will need to complete a transfer request application for each new financial institution transfer. Members must meet minimum standards to be approved for this service. Minimum standards include such things as age, account status and credit history.
  5. You will be notified via e-mail that your request has been accepted or denied.
  6. Once your request has been accepted, you will need to log back on to 1st Online and then the E-Money site and fill amount to transfer and frequency of the transfer.

Is there a charge for this service?

No, transfers to or from your Partners 1st account are free of charge.


How much can I transfer?

You may transfer up to $500 per transaction.


Which account number do I use?

Your account number + account type + suffix.

For Example:

12345 + S + 18 (this transfers to or from your S18 checking). You would input 12345S18.

12345 + L + 8 (this transfers to or from your L8 Creditline). You would input 12345L8.

12345 + L + 84 (this transfers to or from your Visa Platinum). You would input 12345L84.


What is a routing number?

The routing number or routing and transit number is a number unique to each financial institution. Partners 1st routing number is 274973316. If you have a checking account at another financial institution, you can find the routing number on the bottom line of numbers on your checks.

Can I transfer to or from an account that is not mine, such as my sister's account?

Yes, as long as you are a signer on the account. Account transfers must be between accounts with like ownership (i.e. your name must be on the account you are transferring from and the account you are transferring to). If you are a signer on both account us your name in the "transfer from" and "transfer to" "Account Holder Name" area.


How long does it take to receive the e-mail back from Partners 1st approving the transfer after I have submitted the request?

You should receive an e-mail back from Partners 1st within three business days, however, our normal turnaround time is same day or next day.

I have filled out the transfer request application and received my approval. Now what?

Log back onto 1st Online and then the E-Money website. Choose the Submit a Transfer button. You will need to enter the amount and payment frequency of your transfer, and the date you want the transfer to start.

I placed my transfer request application three business days ago and have not received an e-mail approving my transfer. Why?

The e-mail address on the application may have been incomplete or inaccurate. Please call our E-Money accounting representative at 260.741.8336 or 800.728.8943..

After I have set up an account to transfer funds to, can I transfer funds in the opposite direction?

Yes. However, you will need to submit a separate transfer request for approval. For example. if you are to transfer funds from ABC Financial Institution to Partners 1st, you will need to submit another transfer request application to transfer funds from Partners 1st to ABC Financial Institution. You can submit multiple transfer requests at one time.

If I do not have the funds to cover the transfer, will I be charged a fee?

Yes, our normal non-sufficient funds, overdraft and courtesy pay fees apply.

I entered the wrong account number, what will happen?

If the information is wrong, the request will be submitted as usual. However, the transfer will not be completed. If this is the case, Partners 1st will contact you via e-mail, and ask you to resubmit the transfer.

I have submitted my transfer request application and I made a mistake in the personal information. Can I still make changes?

No. You will need to delete the transfer account and re-submit your transfer request application.

I have initiated the transfer payment, and I made a mistake in the dollar amount, frequency or date. Can I still make changes?

Yes you may. Simply call our E-Money accounting representative at 260.471.8336 or 800.728.8943 as it depends on where you are in the transfer process.

What do I need to do to cancel a transfer?

Log on to 1st Online and then the E-Money website and choose the Delete Transfer button.

Can I transfer funds internationally?

Not at this time. E-Money transfers can only be sent to another financial institution within the United States with a valid routing number.


Can I set up a payment to my mortgage company?

Yes, as long as your mortgage is at a financial institution.


What is the daily limit?

You may transfer up to $500 per transaction. For exceptions or extenuating circumstances please contact our E-Money accounting representative at 260.471.8336 or 800.728.8943.


Once I have set up the transfer payment frequency, do I have to do anything else?

No, as long as the payment frequency is set up the way you want it, and the first transfer is completed successfully, the payment transfer will automatically happen as you requested.


If the payment is due on the 10th of the month, what day should I use?

The transfer will happen on the next business day after the day you specify, so use the 9th day. The cut off time for transfers are 12 noon EST for transfers made the next business day. Remember that Saturday, Sunday, and holidays are not considered business days. If your transfer is reoccurring, you may want to use up to 3 days prior to due date to guarantee the payment is made on time.


Will I see the transfer on my statement?

Yes, you will see the transfer. It will be listed on your account as "PARTNERS 1ST FCU/TRANSFER/"

When I am entering the requested bank account information, what goes in the description box?

Though this is a required field, it is for your personal use on the E-Money site. You can enter any descriptive word or sentence that helps you identify the transaction.
